Responsibilities:

  • Evaluation of commercially available sorbents and their properties (capacities, kinetics, degradation, costs,...)
  • Assessing the potential of the different sorbents in the context of different process designs (VSA, PSA, TSA)
  • Sensitivity analysis of the carbon capture process towards process parameters (temperature, pressure, CO2 concentration, impurities...)
  • Estimation of adsorber size and energy requirements based on adsorbent properties
  • Developing concepts for CCS integration into our current and future systems
  • CO2 on board storage and clearance

Qualifications:

  • Studies in chemical engineering, process engineering, technical chemistry or related
  • Strong interest in sustainable technologies
  • Knowledge of market & literature research tools
  • Ability to work independently and bring in own ideas
  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
  • First experience with process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen)
  • Advanced understanding of thermodynamics and chemical processes
  • First experience with adsorption processes is a plus
