As a regular member of the "Webshop Cloud Infrastructure" product team, the focus of this role is on the technical development of the respective domain as well as the individual development of the necessary skills of the team members of your competence.

In addition you will also take on some disciplinary tasks.


Your tasks:


Technical responsibility

  • Be member of the product team "Webshop Cloud Infrastructure" that develops, maintains and operates our high available online shops hosted on GCP and protected via Cloudflare
  • Significantly influence solution architecture in line with the enterprise architecture principles and coding principles
  • Ensure efficient delivery of product backlog
  • Influence the backlog with respect to technical debt and product quality
  • Prevent scrapers and scalpers from accessing our shops and ensure that costumers have a smooth experience browsing our pages
  • Improve and automate existing processes and solutions using infrastructure as a code
  • Champions technology best practices and ensures they are followed by respective competency team
  • Support product teams with your knowledge about cloud services, web security and continuous integration pipelines
  • Active participation on technical community for the Cloud competency

People Management

  • Hold the functional responsibility (focus on skills) for employees in the same role within the domain
  • Regular 1:1 and feedback talks with direct reports
  • Initiate personnel actions, especially skill development, individual training measures, training on the job etc.
  • Foster the continuous development of competency skills across domains through regular competency team meetings and other formats
  • Ensure consistency of knowledge and creating a culture of excellence and continuous learning
  • Approve Vacation requests, assign Oncall duty, weekend work etc.
  • Evaluate reference letters

Requirements:


  • Strong interest in how to run secure, highly scalable, multiregion hosted & public facing websites
  • Fundamental background knowledge of system architectures, network protocols and operating systems is desirable
  • Profound expertise in configuring & maintaining services on cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure or AWS) via Infrastructure as a Code
  • Familiar with common DevOps technologies (K8s, Terraform, GitHub, Nginx, GitOps, etc.)
  • Skills in configuring a Web Application Firewall including rate limitations and bot detection rules would be a plus
  • Good knowledge on programming languages (especially ) as well as (No)SQL databases
  • Experience in leading a team in an agile enterprise environment is a plus
  • Fluent in English, German would be a plus
