Beschreibung
With over 9,000 enrolled students, FHWS is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Bavaria, Germany. In total, ten faculties and eight research institutes belong to the university.
The Technology Transfer Center for Electromobility (TTZ-EMO) is the largest research institute of FHWS. It was founded 10 years ago and, as a branch office, it has its headquarters in Bad Neustadt.

At the TTZ-EMO, a young scientific team of about 40 employees works on industrial and public research projects with most of them working as scientific researchers.

We perform our work within four research groups:
battery systems, electric machines, motor control systems and power electronic systems.
We work closely with technology and global world market leaders, which makes us a little proud.

In addition, we also take our time and freedom to realize our own research ideas - without any pressure from the industry or through deadlines.

For our research groups we are looking for Scientific Assistants (M/F/d) for the locations in Schweinfurt and in Bad Neustadt, Germany.

Do you want to discover, develop or research new solutions in electric mobility and electric energy systems with us? Do you feel comfortable working in research groups, on electric technologies, at test benches or with simulations and embedded systems? Do you like to think ahead with colleagues? Then this might be your job.

Our offer to you and your possibilities

You analyse problems and solve them.

How do you do that? You comb through a lot of technical articles and other scientific publications (a lot of literature research), then you discuss possible approaches in the team and with our cooperation partners.

You design one or more virtual models and then verify them on the test bench. You might repeat this process quite a bit because you always encounter new technical and scientific questions.

Looking for suitable future research projects is also part of the job. You create sketches and proposals, define work packages and determine the timeline of the projects. But don't worry, you don't have to do all this on your own. The team will support you.

The reward for all your efforts:

You will present the results of your work to our cooperation partners in industry as well as at national and, in some cases, international conferences, giving you the opportunity to talk shop with your colleagues.

What you should bring for the job

You have completed or you will shortly successfully complete a university degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics (e.g. Master's degree or comparable university degree). You possess sound knowledge of the basics of electrical engineering. You feel encouraged and comfortable working in one of the above-mentioned research groups.

What you can look forward to

Our laboratories are impressive (that's what our visitors keep telling us.) Their state is excellent and the equipment is up-to-date.

In addition to high-quality tools and measuring equipment, each workstation is equipped with two monitors and a laptop. The necessary R&D software, access to state-of-the-art literature etc. will be available to you. We have access to an extensive software pool.

We also have the right team. We regularly organize pizza dinners, and any technical or non-technical problem is solved in an interdisciplinary way.

Not to forget:
We offer flexitime and some home office opportunities to make everyone feel at home. The working time credit can be compensated by taking entire days off.

Important to know

The position is a 3-year temporary full-time position. In principle, it is also possible to work part-time.

Recruitment and remuneration are based on the relevant regulations of the collective wage agreement of the federal states (TV-L) with all benefits customary in the public service.

If you meet all requirements, your remuneration will be according to pay group 13 of the TV-L.
To promote your continuous development this position is generally also suitable for scientific qualification by a cooperative doctorate. We would be pleased if women felt particularly addressed by this advertisement. Severely disabled applicants will be given preference in the case of otherwise essentially equal suitability, qualifications and professional performance.

Now it's your turn
