In the division Business Technology for IMPROVEX.


IMPROVEX is Munich Re's innovative data-pooling platform, which combines Munich Re's own policy and claim data with data from participating clients in a unique database.

This data is enriched by data science methods and Munich Re's actuarial expertise to gain new market insights.

You will gain deep insights into the analysis and processing of complex data sets, working alongside experienced experts from underwriting and data analytics.

You will contribute to the automation of automating data processing on a big scale.


Your period of employment:
September 1st, 2023 (or later) to February 29, 2024, starting full-time and then continuing in full
- or part-time employment with flexible scheduling. Also, after your initial training, you will have the opportunity to work from home.


Your Job

  • Assistance in the analysis and processing of complex data sets
  • Independent search, preselection, and structuring of internal and external data
  • Ensuring data quality (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Independent resolution of datarelated issues
  • Collaboration in automating the data preparation process

Your Profile

  • Studying computer science, mathematics or similar.
  • Proficient in Python, with a focus on contributing to highquality, welltested, classoriented code, not limited to basic scripting.
  • Experience with state of the art collaboration / development tools and frameworks such as Git and SCRUM.
  • Enjoy dealing with large amounts of data and high practical relevance, a qualityoriented and structured approach to work
  • Affinity for new technologies and analysis opportunities.
  • Selfreliant and structured way of working.
  • Basic knowledge in one of the programming languages SQL or R is advantageous.
  • Proficient English language skills.
Students from countries outside the EU require a German residence-/work permit.
