Duties:


Working in the Facility Management section of the Embassy, the Paint Shop Maintenance Worker carries out scheduled and unscheduled preventive maintenance and repair work on finish, interior and exterior surfaces in all mission buildings and facilities including residential owned and leased properties.

The job holder performs surface preparation, applies paint, lays floor coverings, and/or provides technical design/guidance in the area of painting, historical and architectural preservation, corrosion prevention, wall coverings, and/or flooring.

- und Reparaturarbeiten an Oberflächen sowie Innen
- und Außenflächen in allen Missionsgebäuden und -einrichtungen, einschließlich Wohngebäuden und Mietobjekten, durch. Weiterhin wird die Oberflächenvorbereitung durchgeführt, trägt Farbe auf, verlegt Bodenbeläge und/oder bietet technische Gestaltung/Anleitung im Bereich Malerei, historische und architektonische Denkmalpflege, Korrosionsschutz, Wandbeläge und/oder Bodenbeläge.


Qualifications and Evaluations:


  • Requirements:
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in painting trade work is required.

Es sind mindestens drei (3) Jahre Berufserfahrung im Malerhandwerk erforderlich.

  • Education Requirements:

Completion of secondary school (US:
High School Diploma/GED; Germany: State German school degree) is required.

Further, completion of vocational training from an accredited institute recognized as producing a journeyman level painter is required.

  • Evaluations:
Position requires limited working knowledge language skills in English (reading/speaking/writing).
Position requires good working knowledge language skills in German (reading/speaking/writing).

  • Must possess a valid German/EU driver's license: Class B.
    (please submit front and back of the license)

This may be tested.
