Innovation - Tradition - We-Feeling:

This is the world of Wölfel.

You have a great enthusiasm for renewable energies? Then we would be delighted if you support us with your Bachelor/Master Thesis in the area of CAE analysis of gearbox vibrations/sound radiation of wind turbines in Höchberg (near Würzburg).

As an innovative and crisis-proof family business, we have been offering engineering services and system solutions in the fields of structural dynamics, vibration technology and acoustics for more than 50 years.

We are looking for talents who want to make a difference and push things forward.

What we expect from you:

-
Education:You are studying mechanical engineering, mechanics, civil engineering or mechatronics and have ideally already completed lectures on structural dynamics or vibration engineering/machine acoustics.
-
Experience and knowledge: You have first experience in programming evaluations using Matlab or Python. Knowledge in the use of finite element software such as Nastran, Optistruct or Abaqus is an advantage.
-
Personal strengths:You are characterized by an independent and careful way of working. You enjoy working in a team and are willing to familiarize yourself with new topics. Good German and very good English skills round off your profile.

What you can expect:

-
With your ideas to success: Central part of your Bachelor/Master Thesis is the calculation of the sound radiation of wind turbines due to gear vibration excitations. You will support us in the development of CAE solutions using the finite element program Abaqus and the multi-body simulation software SIMPACK.
-
You are shaping our future:The goal of your Bachelor/Master Thesis is to transfer the result of a gearbox vibration analysis in SIMPACK to a finite element model in order to calculate the surface velocity and the sound radiation. The main focus is on the use of infinite elements to calculate the radiation with free-field boundary conditions as well as the transfer of the surface rapidity via the so-called recovery matrix as a sound excitation source. Furthermore, the development of an efficient post processing using commercial programs like Altair Hyperview, ABAQUS CAE/Viewer, Matlab or Python is an important part of your work.
-
Responsibility and practical experience:You analyze which areas of the wind turbine (tower, nacelle or blade) dominate the sound radiation in certain frequency ranges. With this result of your Bachelor/Master Thesis, targeted countermeasures can be defined and virtually examined afterwards.

Our benefits for you:

-
Attractive working environment: Intensive familiarisation with the area of responsibility, professional and personal support, appropriate remuneration, flexible working hours, individual home office options, flat hierarchies, team-oriented working atmosphere, working at eye level, modern working environment.
-
Innovation and opportunities for development: Interesting entry opportunities after graduation adapted to your personal interests and goals, independent work, use of the latest technologies and methods, opportunities to contribute creative ideas, collaboration with experienced and interdisciplinary teams.
-
Feelgood benefits: Free drinks, company cafeteria, employee parking, annual company events, sports groups and much more.
