Vinofactum is working with the finest restaurants in Berlin and has a growing client base of end customers who enjoy the diversity of high-quality wines from artisanal producers.

"After eight years in the fast paced start-up world, I decided to follow my passion for wine (being a daughter of a winemaker from South Moravia), and founded Vinofactum in 2020 to help more people discover the amazing world of natural wines. Due to another new business project which requires my relocation to the Czech Republic, I'm looking for an entrepreneurial wine professional who'd like to step into Vinofactum as a Business Partner, who would take full ownership of the day-to-day operations of the business, and would drive its further development. Aufgaben


What you'll do:


You'd take over an established business and have the freedom to drive its further growth (there is still a lot of potential to expand in Berlin and beyond).

Within 3 to 6 months, you'll take sole responsibility of:


  • Maintaining active relationships with our winemaker partners (including occasional winery visits to taste new vintages and meet winemakers in person)
  • Account management of all existing gastronomy clients (tastings, consulting, customer service, dispatch of new orders)
  • Gastronomy client acquisition (finding and approaching new clients, doing tastings with them and turning them into happy and loyal customers)
  • Wine logistics & stock management (with a help of a freelance "stock manager") including staying on top of our inventory and ordering new wines when needed, plus sending necessary reports to the local customs office / Zollamt
  • Financial planning, invoicing and basic accounting (lexoffice, monthly VAT declaration), annual accounting & tax reports are being done by a tax advisor
  • Website management (we use Shopify): keeping the website updated with new wines and info about winemakers, coming up with new seasonal offers and marketing them through our website and social media
  • Organising popups and events to further promote the brand
Qualifikation


What You'll Bring:


  • Fluency in English & German, Czech or Slovakian is a plus
  • Sufficient wine knowledge (minimum WSET Level 2 and above equivalent
  • I'm not looking for an actual certificate but your knowledge should be sufficient enough to be able to have meaningful conversations and tastings with Berlin top sommeliers and get them excited about our portfolio)
  • Previous experience with managing people, budgets, logistics
  • Entrepreneurial and business owner mindset: cando attitude and ambition for growth
  • You are proactive and a selfstarter, can work independently and in a team setting
  • You are a 'handson' leader willing to roll up sleeves, deliver results and continue building this business (it's a lot of moving boxes around : ))
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Curiosity and passion for discovering new wines and marketing these to our customers
  • Strong focus on delivering amazing customer service to our clients
  • You ideally have a driving licence, own car is a major plus

Your Future:


  • Over six months, you will be working closely with me, learning all the areas of the business and transitioning all the responsibilities, receiving a fair salary and sales commissions
  • After a six months probation period, you will unlock the possibility of owning a significant part of the business (on a 4year vesting schedule)
  • I will transition into an "advisory" role in the business and won't be involved operationally anymore
  • You'll have the opportunity to drive the future growth of this business and have full ownership
  • PS: I'm also open to having a discussion about someone who'd like to step in right away and buy a minority stake in the business
