Reporting to the Housekeeper Assistant Manager, you will lead a team of outsourced housekeepers whose responsibilities are to maintain and ensure cleanliness standards for rooms and public areas.

You are a team player with high levels of attention to detail.

You acknowledge that cleanliness and overall housekeeping standards are among the main key players of our guest and member experience with Habyt.

Located by the Rummelsburger See in Berlin, Waterfront by Habyt will open this summer and will offer 144 Hotel Rooms and 92 Residential Studios.


You will be responsible for:


  • The orderliness, cleanliness and general appearance of rooms, common areas, external and internal compounds including lifts, lobbies, stairs, roof tops, basements and car parks
  • Conducting daily briefing and attend operation meetings in the absence of the department head
  • Maintaining effective communication within the Housekeeping Department and with other departments
  • Setting up the schedules and assignments for outsourced housekeepers
  • Guide and train outsourced housekeepers when required, ensuring their compliance with the property standards
  • Sold room reporting, verifying room status, determining discrepant rooms, prioritizing room cleaning and updating status of departing guest rooms
  • Checking, controlling and tracking all guest supplies, linens, cleaning supplies and chemicals used.
  • Ensuring key control procedures are in place and carried out accordingly
  • Managing all lost & found items left by guest accordingly
  • Preparing the monthly outsourced attendance, stock inventory and any other reports as required for submission to the leadership and Guest Services/Experience Team
  • Maintaining missing and breakages/torn statistics on room supplies, towels and linen.
  • The ordering of room and cleaning supplies, chemicals, etc

The skills, attitude and experience we require are:

  • Min. 1-3 years of relevant experience as a Supervisor in the Hospitality sector
  • Excellent written & spoken communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Good German and English language skills required.
  • Engaged, high energy and handson
  • Strong organizational and team management skills
  • A willingness to work on rotating shifts 5 days per week including weekends and Public Holidays covering 7AM to 10PM business hours
  • Always looking to challenge the status quo and focused on improving cleaning efficiencies and the guest experience as a whole
