Beschreibung

The Associate System Administrator is in charge of the technology which our employees need to be able to do their business.

His main focus is providing a fast and satisfying 1st level support to Bigpoint's employees.

As a secondary objective, the Associate System Administrator engages in server side administration and projects as provided by the Team Lead / Seniors.

Tasks

  • Administrate Workspace IT Hardware
  • First level support; support employees with any matters concerning the office IT infrastructure (client hardware, software, services)
  • Automation; automate and optimize initial and configuration of workstation, automate and optimize periodic updates to the Office IT infrastructure, and automate recurring tasks where appropriate
  • Responsible for

Linux Server Administration:
communication services (Asterisk), and business Applications (Jira, Confluence, SAP)

  • Support Software License management.

Requirements:


  • Professional education in IT Business is required
  • 35 years experience as an IT System Administrator for Server and Client Technology
  • Maintain a close, professional and pragmatic, solutionoriented working relationship with all relevant stakeholders at all times
  • Actively demonstrate strong service mentality in interactions with internal and external customers
  • Empower decisionmaking and issue resolution at the lowest possible point in the organization and demonstrate effective, pragmatic decisionmaking behavior with as few occasions of escalation to next level as possible
  • Thinks creatively and independently to continually improve processes
  • You have strong knowledge about server administration and networking (e.g. Active Directory, Fileservers, VPN servers, Firewalls, etc.)
  • You are familiar with Bash & Powershell as a scripting language
  • You are experienced with common Office technologies (Windows Clients, Mac OS Clients, Active Directory, VoIP, conference systems, etc.)
  • You have decent experience with Linux servers
  • You are a team player and you love to share knowledge
  • Ability to deliver execution quality on a daily basis in a dynamic environment on tight deadlines
  • Strong understanding of required technologies, processes, and tools, including highly available services
  • Ability to identify improvement potential for services rendered to employees (cost, service level) and to address these potentials
  • Strong customer service and problemsolving skills
  • Demonstrated soft skills required such as presentation of ideas and clearly articulating the concepts to senior management
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service, be a good listener and work well with others
  • Selfmotivated, able to work independently, and takes initiative
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to learn new content areas and new skills quickly and well required
  • Professional attitude and work habits
  • Ability to work through ambiguous work situations
  • Fluent English skills.
