Job Purpose

Experienced telecom Surveyoris responsible for fiber route survey for FTTH deployment in Germany, aware about the telecom fiber technology, managing and coordinating with Operators, subcontractors (civil engineering), technical teams and the customer.

The surveyor is part of a high-performing team responsible for the deployment of FTTH.


Key Responsibilities:

• The Telecoms Surveyor is responsible for telecoms surveying, data collection and reporting. The Telecoms Surveyor will be required to undertake telecoms surveys using multiple techniques whilst maintaining safe working practices to provide high-quality survey data, following surveying processes and specifications with accuracy.
• 2. Obtain a brief prior to each survey to ensure correct and complete survey results are obtained in line with Client specifications. 3. Responsible for the collection and reporting of telecoms survey data on site, along with appropriate Software packages to produce required client outputs or data to be added to other schemes. 4. Employ associated industry guidelines and client specifications. 5. Lead and work effectively with Assistant Surveyors. 7. Supervision of supporting employees allocated to intrusive surveys. 9. Work with other surveyors to provide the survey reports to the required standard, format and output, within the required timescales. 10. Maintain effective communication between clients, main contractors and supply chain. 11. Produce and maintain reports, spreadsheets and databases where necessary to facilitate the above tasks. 12. Follow Risk Assessment and Method Statements. Follow Health and Safety reporting guidelines. 13. Ensure all legislative requirements are adhered to whilst on site such as Health & Safety, NRSWA, and CDM etc. 14. He/She may also be required to undertake duties within other areas of the company as and when required.

Key Deliverables

• Participate in 'lessons learned and contribute to the improvement of processes.
• Participate or lead in the development of equipment, methods, or software.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles as required to ensure they are always available.
• Prepare reports and presentations for periodic updates on project development activities and regularly update the management with project progress update dashboards.
• Assist with project evaluation, field trials and Proof-of-Concept of the project.
• Coordinate Survey schedules.
• Deliver telecommunication network intrusive surveys to time, cost and quality.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
• 9. The Telecoms Surveyor will be required to deliver survey outcomes within the specified timescales and budgetary expectations.

Required:

• BE/B Tech /M Tech (Civil/E&TC), Engg Diploma or University Degree businessrelated disciplines.

Required Experience:
Years of Telecom surveying or relevant experience.- 2. Experience in telecoms surveying in utilities and construction.- 3. Conversant in the use of telecoms surveying equipment (EML & GPS).- 4. Good IT skills including competency in the Microsoft Office software suite.- 5. Ability to work to deadlines and priorities work accordingly.- 6. Forensic attention to detail.- 7. Good communication skills - both written and verbal.- 8. Professional telephone manner.- 9. Good organizational skills.10. EU Driving license.
