THE ROLE & THE TEAM:


As a Senior Creative Strategist at Zalando Studios, you will be working in our in-house agency, within the ideation team.

And taking part in steering our storytelling in the digital and social age. This role ideally requires a marketing strategy background - either in-house or in an agency. Fashion experience is preferred but not essential.

We are looking for a strategic and creative thinker who can help give us strong platforms to ideate from, come up with new creative ideas and help us cut through the noise.

You will be responsible for aiding the team to create 360° campaigns including video, stills, activations, events and more.

You are able to advise us on which platforms work best to reach our customers - based on the brief, cultural insights and market data.

But you are also able to think outside the box, helping us find unique angles that can help our partner brands excel in their categories.

You understand their needs and Zalando's tonality, and make them work together to create outstanding campaigns in alignment with the Creative Team.

WHAT WE'D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING):

  • Create persuasive and compelling strategic springboards and campaign strategies for our partner brands to entertain, inspire and engage audiences.
  • Attend kickoffs and ideation brainstorms to challenge and support our team in the early phases of ideation.
  • Support the team to come up with creative activations for our campaigns with events, influencer extensions and more.
  • Use your knowledge in strategy to deep dive into the performance of our campaigns and help us extract learnings that will make our work better and more targeted.
  • Consult our internal strategy department (IMS) to steer campaigns and ensure the insights are clear for our team.
  • Research & build out a creative strategic approach (incl slides in the presentation deck) based on the brief and IMS brand strategy.

What we expect from you:

  • To create yearly brand strategies & pitch initiatives.
  • To develop new creative formats based on cultural research.
  • To develop and summarise trend reports for the ideation team and wider Zalando Studios in the segment of content creation.
  • To supervise consumer studies in collaboration with stakeholders across Zalando and create learning relevant for the Ideation team.
  • To host focus groups to test the effectiveness of a marketing strategy or gauge public opinion on an issue or product.
  • To coordinate goals with Partner Consultants and clients for upcoming marketing campaigns.
  • To track results of marketing strategies and campaigns, creating recaps for large campaigns.
  • To support our team in creating diverse and inclusive strategies and content that reflect and celebrate our audience.

WE'D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF:

  • You have a degree in Advertising, Business, Media, Communications, Journalism or similar,
    and/or you have extensive experience in a strategy role. Ideally you have 2+ years of experience at a senior level in-house, in an agency or in a relevant creative field.
  • Talent for developing exciting and engaging strategic springboards that have a digital/social first perspective, and able to summarise data and insights in an easily actionable way.
  • Strong interest in fashion, communication, campaign strategy and social media. You are an innovator and have a solid futureforward outlook.
  • A natural doer Your work showcases your quick thinking and proactive attitude, managing your workload to tight deadlines and with flexible planning in a calm way. For this, we would love to see your portfolio of work.
