Siemens Energy Graduate Program - Bid Project Management (f/m/d):

What You Can Expect


Over the course of two years, you'll get hands-on experience, be actively integrated into the day-to-day activities of your teams and gain a deep understanding of Siemens Energy.

You'll rapidly build in-depth knowledge, discover solutions, and experience our business first-hand.


From day one, you will work on meaningful projects with three individually designed assignments, including one eight-months assignment abroad (Covid permitting).


You will be assigned a mentor and will shadow a role or position to support you in reaching your individual career goals and network with peers and business leaders.

You'll also have access to the resources to help you grow

We are part of the Gas Services Organization of Siemens Energy, within the Large Steam & Syncon Product Line. Our Special Electric Machinery is an interdisciplinary team with eight project managers, bid managers and engineers.

We provide mechanical solutions for our internal partner at Grid Technologies Organization to develop and implement synchronous condenser substations for Transmission System Operators all over the world.

In your role within our bid management team, you will be an important interface in a cross-functional environment and help us providing competitive proposals.


How You'll Make an Impact

  • As part of our Graduate Program, you are on the Siemens Energy team. You'll share our purpose in energizing society by supporting customers with transitioning to a more sustainable world and will work on real global issues, creating solutions that directly make an impact.
  • You will be involved in synchronous condenser projects supporting the bid management with preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid (e.g. analyzing, product selection, price calculation) and providing competitive proposals.
  • You will collect inputs from crossfunctional project teams and moderate as interface between the teams and other stakeholders.
  • You will help integrating lessons learned from previous projects and contribute to the price calculation and development.
  • Your support will be highly needed to check for completeness of the bid with regards to risks identified, ensure that all services are included, whilst focusing on a timely and compliant project delivery.

What You Bring

  • Eagerness to work in a project environment and good commercial understanding
  • Handson attitude combined with excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Significant practical work experience up to 36 months including knowledge from internships, working student activities or employment
  • A master's degree, doctoral degree, or equivalent in engineering sciences or business administration with engineering background
  • Minimum of 3 months of international experience gained through studying or working
  • Excellent English skills to work in a multicultural environment and be flexible and mobile during the program

Gas Services
Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
