Job Overview:


The world of embedded software development is undergoing a significant shift due to its increasing overlap with IoT, Machine Learning, and cloud computing.

Developers need innovative hardware and software solutions that can be embraced quickly to keep up with the industry's fast pace and to help mitigate growing layers of complexity.


Arm Development Tools and Software LoB build solutions to help developers get the best out of Arm-based design and achieve optimized performance, energy efficiency, and security.


Responsibilities:

As an intern, you will work with the MCU Software & Tools team, in Grasbrunn, Germany office.

This team belongs to Arm Development Solutions Group (DSG) and is responsible for Arm Keil MDK, along with the ULINK debug adapters and the CMSIS for the Cortex-M and Cortex-A microcontrollers.

Moreover, with its involvement in the Open-CMSIS-Pack Linaro project, this team conducts the programming of command-line tools for project build and verification based on CMSIS-Pack technology.


The day-to-day role will involve:

Participate in different aspects of commercial and open-source software development, from product design and implementation to testing.


Have support from the team to develop your knowledge, skills, and passion throughout your placement whilst supplying to projects that we are working on.


Have a dedicated mentor to provide you with the technical and practical help that you need to progress your career.


Essential Skills:

A BEng/BSc or more advanced degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, or other related fields.

Experience in at least one programming language.

Enjoyment in writing code to provide sophisticated solutions to complex problems.

Ability to clearly and concisely communicate ideas, both technical and non-technical ideas.

Good English language skills.


"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience:
Curiosity about technology outside of the classroom - personal projects, hackathons, internships, etc.

We are very keen to hire people with a desire for programming.

If you can supply links to any of your projects online, we will take the time to look through them.

Contributions to open-source projects showing projects or interests that align with parts of our software story.

Knowledge of C/C++, Java or Go programming languages.

Experience in source code control systems (e

g:
Git or Subversion).
