Department Overview:

The International Strategy & Portfolio Management team is responsible for developing the strategy, building the tools and aligning resources to enable long-term success by driving growth across APAC, EMEA and LACR.

The department is responsible for strategic planning & market research activities, business positioning, market share & competitive analysis.

An internship in the Strategy department offers an excellent opportunity to understand how a large multinational operates and how strategies are developed and implemented.

**This role supports the creation and implementation of go-to-market strategies for software and mobile video in international markets outside North America - key areas of expansion for Motorola Solutions.

We would like you to support our team from September 2023 for at least 6 months - and preferably for 1 year - in a full-time capacity (40 hours / week).

Main tasks:

Contribute to strategy projects through the analysis of markets, competitors, products and technologies
Work with various information streams to collate, structure and maintain market data for use in forecasting, business case development and other strategic analysis
Research new market spaces to support Motorola's expansion into these areas with detailed knowledge
Analyze market reports and other secondary sources to produce periodic updates on the company's performance, its competitors, market trends and other relevant developments
Contribute to the discussions and decisions within the Strategy department (gaining a good insight into the overall functioning of the unit and wider business)

Basic Requirements:

Minimum Bachelor's degree in business, management, economics, finance or engineering
Registration with a university
Enthusiasm for business management and strategy
Analytical mindset and ability to frame complex problems
Interest in performing business and market analysis
Solid knowledge of data analysis using spreadsheets, preparing presentations and other reports; familiarity with Google Suite tools is advantageous
Resultsoriented, selfstarter, able to work independently under remote supervision
Very good spoken and written skills in English; a second language is a plus
