ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES


The role of Senior
IDT Business Partner acts as the primary point of
IDT representation in End Market Leadership teams on all digital and technology touchpoints and providing navigation for Leadership team _minus_ 1 business to understand business needs & priorities and linking to technology/ process optimization requirements.


The Senior
IDT Business Partner role works closely with the Leadership Teams of two of the four Central Europe Clusters
:Germany and
Switzerland & Austria, which bear significant strategic commercial value to the CE Business Unit and the BAT Group.

Together with the direct reports the role is expected to ensure value and operational delivery of all
IDT workstreams.


What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?


This role encompasses the management of strategic digital and technology roadmaps for Germany Cluster and the Switzerland & Austria Cluster in close collaboration with the respective Cluster LTs (ensuring optimal business partnering/ relationship management), with special focus on the Customer Management (TMD, B2B) and employee digital & technology experience.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT

  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with key partners and the matrix of leadership teams (Clusters,
    IDTLT and Regional/ Global DBS Teams)
  • Ensures functional
    IDT streams are aligned to the business needs & priorities through Strategic Leadership Agenda
  • Leads the technology and platform delivery of the commercial data & analytics roadmap for Germany, Austria & Switzerland
  • Identifies new digital opportunities driving commercial value through close engagement with internal Digital Business Solutions Hub
  • Facilitates ongoing
    IDT Total Cost of Ownership review at the Leadership Team level for cost optimisation.
  • Challenges Leadership Teams ideas with a commercial attitude &
    IDT expertise
  • Owns TMD
    IDT roadmap delivery and
    IDT portfolio.
  • Periodic comprehensive IT agenda review at the Leadership Team level

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP

  • Support CE
    IDTLT and
    IDT organisation to be a hardworking team to shape and deliver the group transformation.
  • Role modelling the new group values nuanced by CE PLA behaviours,
  • Ensure optimal
    IDT team integration and Line of Sight on the CE commercial and leadership agenda,
  • Ensure clarity of roles & responsibilities, credible succession pipeline, team capability development and overall development plans for own & reporting roles

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Experience Required

  • University background in Computer Science or equivalent, with 12+ years of work experience related to the management of complex digital technology environments especially covering routetomarket/ trade marketing & distribution/ customer management.
  • Experience in shaping and driving transformations for Marketing through IT & Digital
  • Experience in leading, influencing and operating in a complex geo / functional matrix organization.
  • Experience in leading business engagement in geo area / large endmarket / global function
  • Practical knowledge of Agile, Design Thinking and DevOps
  • Technical understanding with ability to translate into business concepts and viceversa
  • Relationship, change (and conflict) management resolution skills. Ability to work under pressure, handle stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
  • The ability to bring together and work with a team of people with varied backgrounds business analysts, technical experts, process owners, Global Hub/ Centres of Excellence (CoE) especially Trade Platform teams to ensure stability and relevant evolution of systems and platforms.

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Business acumen and a good grasp of Marketing business models and related improved IT & Digital Capabilities
  • Strong relationship management skills: advanced partner and change management skills; strong people/ team leadership skills
  • Good knowledge and experience of bestinclass FMCG and data driven organisations

BENEFICIAL

  • Any certification in product/ project management or in new technologies
  • Language proficiency in German language
  • ITIL v3 or higher certification
