The Design System is an instrumental tool at Vinted for ensuring efficient development, high-quality standards, and maintaining consistency.

As our new Product Designer, you will be focused on delivering better tools to our users - ~100 designers and engineers.

You'll work alongside other design system designers, 5 engineers and collaborate closely with Vinteds' designers, engineers, user researchers, and content designers.

In this position, you'll:

Join our Design System team to be the voice of our users, define their needs and goals, lead the design direction of our design system and its impact on the experience and visual design of Vinted products;
Become an authority on Vinted design language, setting standards for our design system and how systems thinking is embedded in Vinted design practice;
Own design of highimpact patterns, component designs, and crosscutting features from inception to delivery, including engineering collaboration, rollout plans, usability testing, usage guidelines, and representation in design tools such as Figma;
In collaboration with your engineering and product counterparts, drive product discovery to identify new opportunities, strategize and evolve Design System architecture, shape and develop roadmaps for new initiatives;
Evangelize systems thinking and advocate for consistent, highquality craft by providing design feedback and thought leadership, mentoring, and collaborating with other designers across Vinted organization;
Be a decisionmaker regarding all things design in the Design System organization;
Lead the Design System education, training, and onboarding;
Be part of a Design Operations domain and report to the domain Design Director;

About you:

Significant experience in designing and shipping crossplatform products, from the web to native mobile;
Experience in building, owning, and maintaining design systems at scale;
A deep technical understanding of Design Systems (preferably at large scale) that bridges both Design and Engineering;
Strong visual, UI, and interaction skills — you're a champion for product excellence, an expert in platformspecific guidelines, and care about design craft and the details that elevate work from good to great;
Systems thinking with an ability to maintain simplicity in a growing design system and a clear sense of structure that is scalable; as well as a vision to see how all the parts fit together and how a small change can propagate throughout the system;
Thrive in complex and ambiguous spaces, comfortable working autonomously and proactively while also knowing when to bring others in to move things forward quickly;
Mastery of Figma and knowledge of other design tools such as Framer, Origami, etc.;
Passion for design systems and infectious energy when it comes to communicating the value of a design system to the broader organization;
Excellent communication skills, including excellent written and spoken English, to promote collaboration across a broad group of teams, including Design, Engineering, Product, and Branding;
You seek to develop your design leadership skills through mentorship and the way you elevate the quality of design from actively seeking and providing feedback, communicating designs, and setting the standard for execution;

We want people to work from where they're most comfortable, which is why we're using a hybrid workplace model at Vinted for the foreseeable future.

Hybrid means that we encourage working from the office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and the remainder of your time from either home or the office, but it's not required.
