YOUR TASKS
Engage with strategic suppliers on their decarbonisation plans and influence their sustainability strategies

Evaluate supplier operations for emission reductions and sustainable practices

Implement strategies for carbon emission reduction within procurement and across the supply chain

Work with suppliers and carbon accounting teams to track and guide carbon reduction plans

Integrate carbon considerations in procurement, including supplier evaluations and performance monitoring

Stay informed on trends and regulations related to sustainable procurement, offering guidance on best practices

Represent Knorr-Bremse in industry groups focused on supply chain decarbonization

Lead internal and external trainings on sustainable procurement and decarbonization strategies


YOUR PROFILE
Completed studies in science or economics with a sustainability emphasis


Years of experience in multinational settings: sustainable purchasing, energy management, and supplier carbon reduction

Experience as a supplier or process engineer, preferably in automotive, with a focus on metals like aluminium and steel

Deep understanding of sustainable procurement processes

Knowledge of carbon reduction techniques and standards like ISO 14064 and GHG Protocol

Skilled in supplier sustainability assessments and audits

Passionate about climate challenges and driving change

Strong communication skills, able to influence suppliers towards sustainability

Ready to travel up to 20-30% of work-time
