Group leader (m,f,x) 3 for years, 39,83 hours per week, TVL E14:
The chair of "Atomic-Scale Characteriszation" is studying materials at the atomic level.

The chair of Atomic-scale Characterisation (Ruhr-Universität Bochum Atomic-Scale Characterisation (ruhr-uni-) is looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher in chemistry/materials science with a strong background in synchrotron-based, operando or in situ spectroscopy studies of lithium-based batteries.

Your tasks:

Perform organisational tasks of the teaching organisation
Gain teaching and team management experience through this position.
Write proposals in German and English, manage scientific projects, and supervise students in the chair of Atomicscale Characterization

Your profile:

- a PhD degree in materials science, organic or inorganic chemistry, electrochemistry
- extensive experiences in in situ, operando, synchrotron-based X-ray or other spectroscopy of battery interfaces or interphases and electrochemical battery cycling tests (cycling, voltammetry, and EIS) of lithium-ion or -metal batteries.
- experiences in writing proposals and managing scientific projects
- a high level of spoken and written German and English
- can work in a multicultural environment

Fluency in German (at least C1 level, in word and writing required for an effective communication and for teaching in German) (nur bei Lehrverpflichtung)

The load of teaching will be calculated according to - 3 of Lehrverpflichtungsverordnung (state of North Rhine-Westphalia).
