In order to support the RFE VTP Design engineering team (IATVD, Airbus Commercial is looking for a

VTP Structure Design/DTR (d/f/m)

You will join the RFE VTP Design engineering team (IATVD), within RFE Airframe Engineering.

IATVD engineering is a dynamic design team in charge of generating all design deliverables to feed multi-program requirements.

All activities are performed in full alignment with RFE Engineering and several other stakeholders, in a very challenging international environment.

You will be part of the design team, in charge of delivering all design outputs for VTPs and Wing Upper Cover.

Your location

You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Your tasks and responsibilities

Drive feasibility/trade studies and assessments together with design and manufacturing in order to enable product improvement
Create and approve/authorize design deliverables in line with Airbus's processes, methods and policies
Compile and authorize all required documents related to support A/C and MODs certification
Coordinate inputs/outputs with all counterparts/stakeholders
Manage/monitor/authorize activities and deliverables with engineering suppliers and risk sharing partners
The position will involve some travel for business, mainly in Spain and in the UK, and, as such, you have to be able to travel accordingly

Desired skills and qualifications

Design experience in product development, composite/metal part design, preferably in A350 toolset, especially in CATIA V
Knowledge of Airbus design tools and methods. Familiarity in PDM, configuration management and production release environments
Tolerancing Design
Financial, planning and risk monitoring experience desirable
Flexible and willing to embrace digital transformation. Through this approach you will be able to be an active part of the innovation process and contribute to the RFE Airframe engineering success
Strong interpersonal skills and good communicator orally and in writing, German and English, and a constant learner with a "cando" attitude
Able to work in a multicultural environment
