Who we are looking for

  • An experienced, proactive and result oriented individual to join our Finance Regulatory Reporting team in Munich and help supporting the Environmental, Social, and Governance strategy for the State Street Bank International GmbH, Munich entity (SSBI).
  • SSBI is a fully licensed European bank under the German Banking Act and under the supervision of the European Central Bank (ECB) with branches in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, France, the UK, Austria, Luxembourg and Poland, and employing over 8,000 people.

  • What you will be responsible for
  • As Finance ESG Specialist you will:
  • Drive the sustainability and ESG reporting and disclosure implementation for SSBI Finance, in collaboration with global functions (e.g. EU Taxonomy Regulation, NFRD/CSRD/ESRS/Pillar3)
  • Support the SSBI climaterelated and environmental risks implementation project to ensure that SSBI will be well positioned and in line with ECB expectations
  • Play a important role across the broader State Street organization and work closely with ESG leads in other regions/ State Street entities to help drive the Group ESG disclosure strategy
  • Partner with IT delivery teams, to ensure the ESG architecture is appropriately designed for Finance and data platform/needs can be delivered
  • Partner with Risk and relevant corporate functions to ensure the ESG operating model supports the Banks overall strategy
  • Monitor and support implementation of ESG policies as they develop, becoming a 'Thought Leader' within the CFO group for disclosures
  • Maintain sufficient documentation in line with Corporate standards and to an 'auditable' level
  • Present ESG Finance updates at team meetings, working groups, committees as required
  • As part of the wider SSBI Policies and Governance Team, support nonESG tasks as required, including wider policies monitoring, governance oversight and adhoc tasks (e.g. Regulator onsite inspections, CFO and Audit policy opinions)

  • Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • University degree in Accounting, Business or Legal
  • Ideally 5+ years of experience in Bank reporting, Policy advisory, or Audit; ESG regulations preferred
  • Project Management Leadership experience
  • Fluency in English and German (desirable)
