Your responsibilities as a Permit Compliance Coordinator O and M, DE Offshore Wind

  • Working within the wider Project Team, you will support the permit compliance process for all operational and maintenance activities, including any changes to existing permits, for our German offshore wind projects. Thereby, you will closely work together with our Certification, Asset Management and Environment & Sustainability teams as well as with the sites personnel.
  • As the permit compliance coordinator O and M, you should maintain the register of project commitments during the O and M phase.
  • You will work with the project team to ensure that they understand the commitments within the permit in relation to any ongoing maintenance activities and during specific maintenance campaigns, such that the relevant work is done in a timely manner and in accordance with the permits.
  • You will coordinate engagement between the project and the relevant authorities / stakeholders, e.g. BSH, including any required reporting and provide support in the coordination of periodic inspections as required.
  • More generally, you will provide analysis and advice on relevant policy developments to ensure that Vattenfall's competitive position is optimized.
  • Other support to Market Development and Establishment / Construction teams may also be required
  • You will be required to understand risks in relation to the permit and put in place strategies to reduce these risks as well as identify opportunities.
  • The Permit Compliance Coordinator will be required to promote a safety conscious environment.
Location
The position will be based in either Hamburg or Berlin. Some travel will be required according to the needs of the project.


Profile:

Your qualifications as a Permit Compliance Coordinator O and M, DE Offshore Wind

  • Experience with permitting processes and requirements of large infrastructure projects or renewable energy projects, preferably within the offshore wind sector
  • Experience with permit management and an understanding of the commercial impact of compliance would be preferred
  • A track record of liaison with relevant authorities, e.g. BSH, GDWS, and stakeholder management is an advantage
  • An awareness and understanding of renewable energy policy and its impact on projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (German and English)
  • Good project management and organizational skills, excellent ability to multitask
  • Experience of working within multidisciplinary teams / team working skills
