The position:


  • Assembly and commissioning of vacuum components
  • Organization of vacuum laboratory and cleanroom
  • Cleaning, quality assurance and packaging of components under cleanroom conditions
  • Participation in design, buildup and operation of test setups
  • Teamwork within a team of international technicians, engineers and scientists
  • Willingness to acquire a crane operator license, if not already available
  • Participation in the vacuum group's oncall service

Requirements:


  • Industrial Mechanic, Physics Laboratory Technician or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in setting up and operating complex experimental equipment
  • Interest, willingness and ability to learn new areas of expertise
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) equipment or working in cleanroom environments would be an asset
