Job Description


Frankfurt International School in Oberursel is looking for a motivated
Digital Communication Coordinator who likes to work with students and media, effective immediately.

The position is initially termed for two years.


The purpose of this role is to create media, provide overall supervision and coordinate the work of the school-wide Media Team.

The Media Team is primarily responsible for creating digital content for promotional purposes, social media and internal use to showcase our culture, community and excellence of teaching and learning at FIS.


The duties of the position will include but will not be limited to:

  • Video production and content of school events
  • Create digital stories showcasing the school ́s schoolwide strategic goals and objectives
  • Work with teaching faculty to record classroom activities, presentations and events including guest speakers to showcase teaching and learning in our school community
  • Support the Head of School in creating regular newscasts for the FIS community
  • Ensure a transparent and reliable booking and planning process to support successful project management and prioritization as required
  • Support the work of the Auditorium Manager to help maintain a stateoftheart theater through digital communication
  • Collaborate with media classes and teachers to support teaching and learning
  • Create content for school display screens, ensuring that content is appropriate, timely and relevant to the divisions and the school ́s event calendar
  • Help support and coordinate weekly events and meetings that require AV setups
  • Coordinate with and support the Athletics and Performing Arts Departments in producing media coverage of their events, including the annual graduation ceremony
  • Support live streaming of sports, Performing Arts and meetings/professional development as needed
  • Provide feedback and input to the overall media strategy of the school

Qualification:


  • Excellent working knowledge of Digital Communication tools, including the creation and production of videos
  • Experience in the operation of hardware and software related to media and film
  • Excellent organizational, planning and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in an educational environment working with both students and faculty is preferred

Additional Agreements:


  • Working hours in principle 8:00 16:30 with a 30minute break
  • Events typically take place during the days when students are on site but may take place after school hours and on Saturdays
  • Additional hours beyond the usual daily working time (eg. after 16:30) and weekends can be exchanged for time/days off in lieu of payment as per alignment with the supervisor
