Your mission

We are currently looking for a Director Research - mRNA delivery.

Ethris, based in the biotech hub Planegg / Munich, Germany, is a technical innovator in the field of messenger RNA (mRNA) therapeutics, an emerging alternative to gene therapies and protein-based drugs.

The company has developed two proprietary technology platforms to enable the use of mRNA as a therapeutic agent: stabilized non-immunogenic mRNA (SNIMRNA) for transcript therapy and lipidoid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery technologies for SNIM RNA delivery.

We focus on the development of mRNA-based therapeutics and vaccines for the treatment of respiratory diseases.

Our technology helps replace or supplement missing or non-functional proteins or introduce new proteins to modulate disease progression or symptoms.

We are committed to bringing these new technologies to patients as soon as possible.

You will be in charge of:

leading the research activities for the identification of new delivery technologies

- developing an efficient research strategy for internal delivery research activities
- keeping an overview over relevant literature and extract relevant information
- leading a team of - 5 people to support research and early development activities

Profile:

\_\_Your profile:

You're a passionate researcher with a strong background in nucleic acid delivery
You have a PhD in natural sciences and 23 years work experience in an academic and/or industrial environment
You have experience as team lead of small to mid sizes teams
You are openminded and creative and enjoy developing new concepts and strategies
You are a strong team player and communication and networking is part of your personality
It's a plus, if you have been working in industry but more importantly you are familiar with state of the art delivery technologies and analytical concepts
You keep a cool head even in stressful situations, are organized and still have the ability to improvise as necessary
Your written and spoken English as well as your presentation skills are excellent
