The Quantitative Genetics (QG) group researches genes and gene networks, that are responsible for the expression of agronomic traits. To this end, innovative methods in the field of statistical genomics are being developed. The starting material for the studies is formed by different plant populations. These are examined using modern genomic methods and their agronomic properties are evaluated in extensive field trials. The aim of the work is to predict the phenotypic variation of crop plants.


Your tasks:
- + You harvest manually wheat and barley.
- + You prepare the seed ((weigh seed batches, machine processing of harvest batches, measure quality parameters of the harvested material).
- + You support the data collection during the field trials.


Your qualifications and skills:
- + You are a gardener or plant technologist or have a comparable qualification.
- + Additionally, you have experience in the horticultural care of test cultures.
- + You have technical understanding and experience in electronic data processing.
