Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets Wertpapierhandelsbank (LBCMW), located in Frankfurt (Germany), conducts Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (LBCM)'s bond business with our clients, both issuers and investors, based in the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland.


Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets is the non-ring-fenced bank of Lloyds Banking Group (LBG), who offers a range of banking and investment products to retail and professional clients across locations in the UK, Germany, the Islands (Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man) and the US.


LBCMW's Debt Capital Markets ("DCM") team are currently looking for an Associate Director, based in Frankfurt, to join their them.

LBCMW DCM originates bond issuance mandates from our financial and corporate clients in the EEA and Switzerland, helping them access the global public and private debt markets.

It is part of the wider LBCM Capital Markets business and is working closely with other Lloyds Banking Group ("LBG") and LBCM teams to originate, structure, execute and distribute bonds (both unsecured and secured).

LBCMW is an integral and crucial part of LBCM Capital Markets' growth strategy.

What you'll be doing?


You'll be part of a Debt Capital Markets team, working on client facing origination, and structuring & execution of new bond issues, with an ambition to grow our European franchise and client footprint.


You will work closely with the Head of Bond Origination LBCMW to develop the European client base, both Corporates and Financials.

You'll be responsible for analysing market trends and developments and tailor bond financing proposals to clients accordingly.


You'll be liaising with team members and the client coverage function along with other teams in the wider Capital Markets business, specifically Corporate Financing & Risk Management, FI DCM & Securitised Products Group, Syndicate and Credit Sales & Trading to identify opportunities for Lloyds.

Monitoring the bond and wider market environment to identify market opportunities and solutions for clients is key.

You're required to follow regulatory developments and advise clients on potential impact for their funding activities.


About you:


Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic, you will possess some Capital or Financial Markets product related experience, along with having strong communication and analytical skills coupled with a collaborative approach to client delivery.


You will be enthusiastic about the challenge of developing the European Bond business of Lloyds and be excited by the opportunity to contribute to an integral and crucial part of LBCM Capital Markets' growth strategy.


Strong organisational skills are essential for this role as well as the ability to manage and prioritise multiple deliverables in a timely and effective manner; work under pressure in a deal environment, have excellent stakeholder management skills.

You should be familiar with Bloomberg and proficient in Excel.
