Beschreibung
Plants are a necessity for humans in different kinds of aspects like food and/or medicine. Therefore, understanding the metabolism of plants is a crucial component of plant research.

In collaboration with the Fraunhofer EMFT we are developing a chipless RFID sensor system in favor to gather plants infor-mation.

We aim to create a sustainable and non-invasive solution for monitoring plant health and opti-mizing plant growth.

Your tasks include:

  • Designing the antenna and sensor on the plant
  • Simulation of the antenna and sensors
  • Characterization and Optimization of the Setup
  • Designing a RX/TX antenna is optional
  • A Publication of this work is highly encouraged
Prerequisites

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, physics, mechatronics or similar
  • Experience simulating in Ansys HFSS or a similar 3D EM simulator are necessary
  • Knowledge in antenna, electromagnetic, radio frequency and sensor technology are preferable

In addition, we offer you flexible working hours which you can arrange yourself, a friendly working envi-ronment and the opportunity to work independently and implement your own ideas.
