Tasks

We, the Data Engineering BI Mercedes-Benz Bank department, work closely with our partner teams and IT to provide our internal customers with comprehensive processes, data analyses and reports for banking supervision and internal bank management, among other things.

We rely on a modern Business Intelligence (BI) landscape consisting of SAP BW, SAP BA, SAP BO and Power BI.

After an intensive training period, the following activities await you at our company:

Inventory of available reports in SAP BO and housekeeping activities in cooperation with the system managers and our customers
Implementation of internal controls (ICS) with regard to data provision, which form the basis for reports required by banking supervisory law. Subsequent analysis of deviations found, recording of necessary adjustments, as well as communication of the facts and the necessary adjustments in the direction of the IT department
Execution, evaluation and documentation of functional tests in the systems of Mercedes-Benz Bank, with the aim of ensuring system stability after any software modifications
Creation of new documentation and review of existing documentation to ensure that it is up to date

What you will learn during your internship with us:

By the end of your internship, you will have gained initial knowledge in the use of the SAP-BW and SAP-BO systems as well as experience in the area of reporting.

You have learned to recognize problems, to understand connections and effects and to develop solutions.

The terms "ICS" and "software test" are no longer foreign words to you and you have a rough overview of the activities in the BI area of a bank.

You have also learned new things about dealing with customers and colleagues and what is important in teamwork.

Qualifications

Native to business fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
Quick comprehension, personal responsibility, commitment and willingness to work hard
Strong analytical thinking, affinity for numbers/data and structured way of working
Teamwork and communication skills, flexibility but also ability to work independently
Advanced knowledge of MS Office
