At the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Bonn, the position of

W3 Professorship for Nephrology
is to be filled at the earliest opportunity.

Extensive knowledge and experience are required in treating acute and chronic kidney diseases, all kidney replacement procedures including kidney transplantation, and in interdisciplinary clinical collaboration when caring for patients with complex conditions.

An additional qualification in transplant medicine is expected.

Within research, collaboration and/or integration in local networks related to inflammation biology and vascular biology (including the ImmunoSensation2 Cluster of Excellence, collaborative research centers, research groups) is expected.

Experience in acquiring and managing third-party funded projects and internationally visible publications is essential.

It is expected that the holder of the position will further develop links between clinical research and fundamental research in terms of translational research, including with involvement in scientific degree programs and postgraduate education.

The duties also include curricular teaching in the Human Medicine and Dentistry degree programs as well as continuing medical education.
