Duties:


  • Serve as Director, Network Enterprise Center (NEC) with responsibility for managing, implementing and providing the operation and integration of all IT enterprise and NETOPS systems in support of a Garrison and it's tenant activities.
  • Evaluate the adequacy of command organizational structure and staffing.
  • Provide a variety of telecommunications services.
  • Monitor the networks and maintain network status.
  • Negotiate compromises with various commands and supported elements.
  • Provide consultant support to users and potential users of information systems.
  • Analyze documents and manage regional information requirements.
  • Supervise, direct, oversee, and coordinate the work of a staff of US, local nationals, and military employees performing a variety of duties in providing Information Technology (IT) support to the community and supported units.

  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • Two year probationary period may be required.
  • One year supervisory probationary period may be required.
  • Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction
  • This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain TOP SECRET security clearance.

Qualifications:


  • This position requires certification IAW DoD M, 12/19/2008. Incumbent must possess and maintain required IT technical/management level certifications (Security+, CISSP, CISM), as required, before gaining privileged access to any DOD system within six (6) months of encumbering the position.
  • This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. Required to sign a DA Form 5019R (Condition of Employment for Certain Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program) and must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter, in accordance with AR Overseas positions: positions designated Emergency Essential (E-E) in support of mobilization and wartime mission. Will be required to remain in the overseas position in the event of hostilities or mobilization until relieved by proper authority. Required to undergo nuclearbiological and chemical training and to participate in readiness tests, mobilization, alerts, and field training exercises. Must pass a medical examination, receive required immunizations for the overseas or deployed location, and prior to appointment to the position, are required to sign a DD Form 2365, DOD Civilian Employee Overseas Emergency Essential Position Agreement.
  • This position is designated as Mission Essential (ME). The position is needed to ensure facility operations in support of Continuity of Operations Programs (COOP) and/or performance of duties and completion of tasks that are mission essential functions of the organization.
  • Due to COVID19, the agency is currently in an expanded telework posture. If selected, you may be expected to temporarily telework, even if your home is located outside the local commuting area. Once employees are permitted to return to the office, you will be expected to report to the duty station listed on this announcement within a designated time frame identified by the organization. At that time, you may be eligible to request to continue to telework one or more days a pay period depending upon the terms of the agency's telework policy.

Specialized and Other Experience:

One year of specialized experience which includes: providing technical planning guidance and recommendations to customers; developing and interpreting policies and regulations; coordinating changes to plans and programs; and initiating corrective actions on telecommunications deficiencies.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
