Role Description- Business partner (BP) to the country business heads, key member of the German, Swiss and Austria Senior Management team- In partnership with the appropriate Global Human Resources Centres of Excellence (GHR COE) and global HR BPs, coordinate efficient and aligned delivery of GHR services in support of HR Strategy- Execute initiatives to drive business success and transformation, with a focus on attracting, retaining, deploying and developing talent and leadership across the countries in scope- (Co-)lead and manage the local HR teams and SMEs supporting the countries to ensure an aligned and client-focused HR delivery of the global and country priorities- Represent the GHR function in relevant committees and governance bodies, ensuring full regulatory compliance of all GHR activities within the legal entities- Act as the GHR liaison for interaction with local regulators- Ensure GHR coverage for Audit/Compliance/FLOD initiatives- Represent GHR in the local market to include participation on HR related boards and industry forums- Location representative for business related communications e.g.

business town halls, executive visits- Provide support to Sales/RFP requests including coordinating data requests, draft responses, updating sales database and participation in client presentations- Local lead for all in country M&A related activity- Function as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on important HR topics- Coach, mentor, and guide leaders on organizational effectiveness- Support senior leadership in developing a culture of diversity and inclusion and promote the State Street values- Mitigate risk by ensuring employment processes, practices and procedures are compliant with STT policies, risk, and governance with a focus on employment laws and regulations- Provide data and analytics to support business insights and decisions.

Role Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience in a HR generalist role, with a focus on strategy/organizational development, compensation and/or talent acquisition within a large and dynamic organization Technical/functional HR expertise developed through extensive, senior experience across the broad spectrum of HR disciplines Proven to have successfully engaged with codetermination partners in different committee representation (local workers council, group workers council etc) on various topics At ease in operating in a matrix environment, balancing requirements between a local/regional entity and a global corporation Proven ability to develop and execute HR strategy which supports business goals and objective Strong commercial acumen, preferable in the financial services industry Understanding of German corporate law in addition to a strong understanding of local employment and labour law Proven people management skills. Ability to lead, develop and build multifunctional HR teams within a matrix. Experience in representing the entity and senior management in related committees and meetings. Superior communication, consulting, interpersonal, influencing, negotiating and critical thinking skills.
