Purpose:
Provides oversight for the continued development, sustainment and maintenance of the company's on-site Inspectors. Responsible for the day-to-day Quality Control activities for the Army Prepositioned Stocks - 2 (APS-2).

Positions Reporting to this Function:
QC Inspector - Lead and QC Inspectors

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential duty satisfactorily.

Oversees and or conducts inspections on different classifications of APS2 fleet equipment.
Prepares records of inspection/tests and makes them available to the QA/QC Department.
Verifies procedures being used are adequate for the effective control of quality, rejects defective workmanship and materials, verifies and certifies the test results on supporting documents.
Maintains crosstalk with QA and LAR representatives.
Coordinates with Shop Supervisor when technical problems arise and indepth mechanical knowledge is required.
Cross trains when required to ensure maximum flexibility and possession of technical skills in the development and maintenance of quality programs.
Provides assistance to functional areas as they achieve and sustain ISO 9001 standards.
Is a quality "champion" by promoting, teaching, and presenting quality as a means for product improvement and efficiency.
Responsible for the individual training of contract employees as necessary.
Responsible for the development and implementation of standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation in conjunction with our customer's guidance.
Responsible for the contractual and corporate compliance of work performed as it relates to quality.
Instills a safetyfirst mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and mínimal losttime injuries.
Other duties that may be assigned to meet company goals and objectives.
Maintain a daily timesheet and daily manning report and ensuring times are accurate.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

Must possess the ability to prioritize, and multitask in a fastpaced environment, and interact at all levels.
Must possess the ability to work well under pressure and around tight deadlines.
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization

Note:
US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Must have or be able to obtain a US Passport

Specialized knowledge and skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), and other software programs to assist with special projects.
ISO 9001 Auditor Training Course Certificate is desirable

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively up to a 48hour work week.
Must be able to endure long hours (overtime as required)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, mainly sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO.
