  • As a part of the Systems Engineering & Safety Group, we do the system design and develop the functional and system architecture for our fully automated trucks and trailers. On top of that, we are responsible for safety specific work products like the risk analysis, the safety analyses and the safety concept. As a part of our group, you will have a deep insight into stateoftheart prototype test vehicles, where we verify the effectiveness of the developed safety measures.
  • You will perform a new stateoftheart safety analysis (STPA) based on our current system and help us plausibilize the safety concept of the autonomous function.
  • You will analyze existing safety approaches and safety concepts in the industry and compare them to our solution. In addition, you can bring in your own ideas into the safety concept.
  • You will gain experience working in a team and learn how to solve complex problems independently.
  • You will gain handson experience with safety for autonomous driving, also directly in the vehicle on the test track.
  • You will learn how to think in a system engineering way from a safety perspective (safety as one of the system properties).
  • You will also be able to bring in your own ideas and thoughts to improve our work and our processes.
Your qualifications

  • You are studying engineering or computer science.
  • You bring along a high degree of independence and reliability.
  • You have a professional appearance and enjoy working in a team.
  • You are familiar with basic vehicle dynamics, system/software architectures and communication networks.
  • You have knowledge in automotive development processes.
  • Experience with architecture tools like Enterprise Architect or PREEvision is a plus; willingness to familiarize yourself with the automotive safety process is mandatory
  • You are fluent in both German and English is a plus
