We are currently seeking an PhD Student will be responsible for planning, maintaining and executing projects in co-operation with the lab team.

The holder of this position will be responsible for completion of projects and accuracy of the results and reporting within the project time lines.

Your
tasks

Execute, collaborate and be responsible for defined cell free protein expression (CFE) projects with clear goals
Design and execute DOE (Design of Experiment) based controlled tests to improve cell free protein expression and implement DOE workflows using liquid handling robots
Analyze CFE improvements using molecular and biochemical methodologies
CFE improvements through genome editing and/or genome engineering of cells
Propose, execute, and drive technical work packages within defined projects
Contribute to exploration in area of expertise to generate new state of the art knowledge and for continuous process improvements
Creation and processing of development reports and method protocols
Your
qualifications
Master's degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, biology, biochemical engineering or related field
Familiarity with mammalian cell culture, genome engineering and molecular methods desirable
Good knowledge with statistical analysis
Able to analyze and interpret data and metrics and use information to make informed decisions
Fluent in English. Basic knowledge of German is helpful but not necessary.
