Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of
migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental
partners. IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It
does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

**_Context:
- **Working under the overall direction of the Chief of Mission (CoM) and the direct supervision
of the National Liaison Officer, the intern will assist the Donor Relations & Resource
Mobilization with daily activities


Tasks will include:

_Core Functions / Responsibilities:
_

50% Knowledge and Information Management

  • Assist the IOM Germany Donor Relations & Resource Mobilization (DRRM) Team in
managing and organizing internal data and information on SharePoint;

  • Ensure usability and clientorientation of DRRM organization of internal data and
information on SharePoint;

  • Improve, if necessary, the current DRRM Information management and organization
of internal data and information on SharePoint;
50% Support and Assistance to the respective portfolio DRRM
(either humanitarian assistance or peace building, conflict prevention, and stabilization)

  • Assist the IOM Germany Donor Relations & Resource Mobilization Team in their day
- to-day work including

  • Support in liaising with IOM's internal and external stakeholders, such as IOM's
headquarters, regional offices, and country offices worldwide; and German
Federal ministries, parliamentarians, and civil society organizations;
- project and event management;
- fundraising activities.
- background research;
- prepare Notes for file (NFFs) of liaison-related meetings;
- contribute to external communication measures.

  • Support any other liaisonrelated activities as assigned by the IOM Berlin DRRM team.
**_Required Qualifications and Experience
- ****Education
Student or graduate, preferably in Social and/or Political Sciences, International Relations
and/or Law, Translation Studies or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

**Experience

  • Knowledge of EU policies, structures and European best practices in the field of

- migration management;
  • Proven expertise in liaising with partners and donors, including regional, national and

- international institutions;
  • Working experience in a similar function and/or with national, regional or international

- public bodies;
  • Experience organizing events and meetings.
  • Excellent writing, drafting, editing and reporting skills;
  • Strong communication and organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of German and EU institutions and German and EU
migration policies;

**Languages
Very good knowledge of spoken and written German; fluency in English. Knowledge of
another official IOM language (French, Spanish) is an advantage
