The Institute of Epigenetics and Stem Cells (IES) is looking for a highly motivated Postdoc interested in investigating repetitive elements in the control of cell identity.
Fertilisation of an oocyte by the sperm results in the generation of a totipotent zygote, which has the inherent ability to form a new organism.

Your tasks
The approaches used involve manipulation of large datasets, screening design, NGS, high-throughput gene editing and clonal analysis of gene expression to understand genome reprogramming and transcriptional regulation during development.
Profile:
- Ph.
D in molecular cell biology with a solid training in molecular life sciences and chemistry with at least 2 years of experience after obtaining doctoral degree.
- Previous handson experience in molecular biology including scRNAseq and scATACseq library preparation, DNA and RNA modifications and Crispr-Cas9 screening design
- Previous work on mouse and human tissues and cell culture as well as FACS
- Full command of English, written and spoken
- Trackrecord proven by 2 first author publications
- Experience in implementing novel genomewide protocols and screening for the identification of transcription factors will be a plus
