The role:


The Researcher (m/wd) Product Safety has to generate accurate and timely documentation and to perform the pre-assessment of all documents needed for a final safety assessment by the Kao safety assessor.

As part of his role, the person has to work closely with Researchers Product Development, all members of the Product Safety Team and is the key contact for the technical Safety Release of each EURL formulation.

The Researcher has to independently collect all relevant ecotoxicological data of our raw materials, identify data gaps and has to develop the ecotoxicological hazard profile in a clear and concise form.


This is a permanent full-time position based in in Darmstadt.

What you will do:

- point of contact for technical file release for Safety group to guarantee launch dates for JF. Prepare and assess the completeness of all relevant documents for the safety Technical File release. Check raw materials safety status, prepare the M1 list and check the completeness and fill existing data gaps, check MOE data and Prop. 65 data, alarm the safety assessor on early stage if discrepancies exists or safe limits are exceeded. After in depth technical assessment, perform the TF-release.

  • Environmental Safety Clearance of our raw materials used of our EURL brands, Molton Brown and John Frieda worldwide (hazard characterization incl. documentation in the systems and inhouse proactive communication)

What you will need:


  • Chemical Background at least Bachelor degree or equivalent
- basic understanding in toxicology

  • Chemical and technical knowledge in order to setup the necessary notification documents
  • Strong analytical and technical problem solving skills
- good communication skills
- excellent skills in MS Office in particular Excel are required
- structured and analytical worker
- teamplayer
- highly motivated
- able to work with clear dedaline

  • Due to the international working surroundings, very good english and german skills required.
