your role with us:

Your role is to assist the academic work on empirical macroeconomics conducted by our Research Centre staff; first and foremost, this will involve working with survey data provided by households, firms and professional forecasters (e.g. Survey on German households' expectations (BOP-HH), Survey of Professional Forecasters (ECB SPF, Fed SPF), Consensus Economics) and with extensive micro datasets.
As a member of an international team, you will be involved in economic research that helps the Bundesbank gain important insights.
You will have access to an excellent IT environment and firstclass data resources and will work with leading international researchers.

Unique assets:

your skills and qualifications:

A master's degree or equivalent qualification in a degree programme with a quantitative focus (e.g. economics or statistics) with above-average results; ideally, enrolled in or pursuing a PhD programme in economics or statistics
Working towards a specialisation in empirical macroeconomics
Knowledge of dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) models an advantage
Strong analytical and conceptual skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Very good command of written and spoken English; a grounding in German would be an advantage
