Arbeiten an der Charité

Die Stelle im Überblick

In the fields of bioinformatics:

  • Analysis of sequencing data from shortread and longread WGS, methylation, HiC, ATAC, ChIP, and RNAseq data starting from the raw data/ fastq files.
  • Identify significantly recurrent genomic changes in cohorts of tumor samples.

In the fields of experimental biology:

  • Isolation and processing of primary patient tumor tissue and cell lines for multi-omic sequencing, Analysis and interpretation of variant calls from WGS and epigenetic analysis of cell lines as well as CRISPR perturbations of cell lines and validation experiments of cell growth and oncogene expression.
  • Work with the other group members and collaborators in Berlin and other institutions across the world.
  • Contribute to all levels of the research you are engaged including experimental design, data analysis, visualization, and writing.
Scientific staff is given sufficient time to carry out their own scientific work in accordance with their employment relationship.


Danach suchen wir

In the fields of bioinformatics:

  • M.Sc. in Bioinformatics, Data Science, Computer Science, Biostatistics or similar. Experience in computational biology (sequencing and data analysis, machine learning).

In the fields of experimental biology:

  • M.Sc. in Biology, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or similar. Experience in experimental biology (tissue culture, molecular biology, biochemistry).
  • Experience in functional genomics (CRISPRperturbation) is beneficial.

Generally:

  • Strong intrinsic motivation, scientific curiosity, organizational skills, and a strong interest in learning about novel technologies.
  • Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Collaborative and proactive way of working.

  • Pay group 13 TVöD VKA-K. The classification is based on qualifications, the respective experience level is calculated on the basis of the years worked. The annual salary (gross) is stated for a fulltime position without annual bonus, allowances and additional services. You can find the collective agreement here
