Job Description Summary:

As the new Paralegal you will be supporting the Team Legal & Compliance PDx on various aspects of the company's operations and initiatives with a particular focus on the region Europe, Africa and Middle East (EMEA).

You will be trained on the job and subsequently take over own responsibility. Therefore you play a key role in supporting the legal and compliance operations and the legal effectiveness improvements.


You will provide support to the Legal function, drive operational improvements in legal services, track legal activities and spend with vendors, and complete administrative tasks necessary to ensure that commercial activity meets legal requirements.


Acting as a business partner, you are expected to work at all levels of the organization with various functional and product teams to deliver legal & compliance services.

With your support, internal operations and management of outside legal spend in accordance with GEHC Corporate guidelines will be streamlined.

Although you will work primarily on matters related to EMEA, you are curious and open to work on global matters or matters relating to other PDx regions.

En tant que Paralégal, vous apporterez votre support à l'équipe juridique et conformité PDx sur divers aspects des opérations et des initiatives de l'entreprise, avec un accent particulier sur la région Europe, Afrique et Moyen-Orient (EMEA).

Vous serez formé(e) au fur et à mesure des missions qui vous seront confiées afin d'acquérir l'autonomie nécessaire à ce poste.

Vous jouerez donc un rôle clé dans le soutien des opérations juridiques et de conformité et des améliorations du support juridique.

Vous fournirez un soutien à la fonction juridique, piloterez les améliorations opérationnelles des équipes juridiques, suivrez les activités juridiques et les dépenses avec les fournisseurs, et effectuerez les tâches administratives nécessaires afin de garantir que l'activité juridique réponde aux besoins commerciaux.


En tant que partenaire d'affaires, vous serez amené(e) travailler à tous les niveaux de l'organisation avec diverses équipes fonctionnelles et de produits pour fournir des services juridiques et de conformité.

Grâce à votre soutien, les opérations internes et la gestion des dépenses juridiques externes conformément aux directives de GEHC Corporate seront optimisés.

Bien que vous ne soyez principalement amené(e) à travailler sur des questions juridiques et de conformité liée à l'Europe, l'Afrique et le Moyen-Orient (EMEA), vous serez aussi flexible à travailler sur des problématiques juridiques à l'échelle globale et/ou relatives à d'autres régions PDx.


Key responsibilities/essential functions include:


  • You will manage the corporate "housekeeping" process such as related to powers of attorney, delegations of authority, shareholders meetings and respective guidance and training
  • You will conduct simple commercial contract reviews such as NDAs
  • As the future incumbent you will also support in identifying and mitigating risks in (new) agreements; ensuring contractual rigor; customization and use of PDx contractual templates. In this regard, you will particularly also support in updating and harmonizing PDx contractual templates
  • You will participate in, and take minutes of calls regarding matters of broader scope and draft update summaries in close alignment with the responsible project lead lawyer
  • You will furthermore manage the invoicing and monthly/quarterly budgeting tasks for all external counsel engagements
  • You will manage all types of daily correspondence to ensure timely response and appropriate prioritization
  • You will educate Legal and business colleagues on Legal department' s processes as and when required

Required Qualifications:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English & French or German. Other EMEA language such as Arabic is a Plus
  • Demonstrated administrative experience in a Legal environment, supporting the activities of a department/team or manager
  • Strong time management skills. Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects with more than one team member simultaneously, adjusting to changing priorities and follow through on all assignments
  • Strong personal integrity and commitment to operating ethically and professionally
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated team player ability
  • Ability to maintain security of highly confidential information
