As Finance Director, you are of course responsible for ensuring that the organization operates within budget and complies with financial regulations and reporting requirements.

On the other hand, you also actively shape the future of the organization by advising on financial matters, getting involved in strategy and evaluating financing opportunities based on this.

Strong analytical thinking skills. We are presented with new opportunities every day - in very different areas.

In order to be able to evaluate these opportunities from a financial perspective, you bring your analytical skills to bear.

Excellent communication skills. In the Finance Director role, you will work with various stakeholders/teams.

It is important that you have the ability to explain even complex financial issues in a way that is understandable for the respective target group - at the same time, however, you must also have an understanding of the sensitivity of the data.

Your profile:

Job Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and act to prevent problems
Oversee all audit and internal control operations
Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with partners & investors
Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a quarterly and annual basis
Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives
Support financing of the organisation by developing new business cases aligned with the organization's requirements and strategy.
Accounting responsibilities: financial and payroll accounting, document management, cost center management, and key performance indicator monitoring

The following abilities, skills and qualifications are needed to perform best on the job:

3-5 years of relevant professional experience in finance; experience in business strategy and/or business development is desirable
Being openminded towards the startup environment
BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
Indepth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
Strong understanding of business management issues
High affinity for numbers and excellent analytical skills
Ability to work independently and a dedicated, selfmotivated approach to work
Ability to prepare and communicate even complex data in an understandable way for different target groups
Strong communication skills to provide general support to the organization
Initial experience in personnel management is a plus
Structured approach to work and pragmatic, solutionoriented action
Very good knowledge of German & English
