Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) partners with large mid-market and fast growth businesses across the world, especially with clients with international presence and aspirations.

CCB Germany and Austria was launched in 2020 with vision to significantly scale up over time.

Cash Solution Sales are a core part of this strategy and will be a major revenue contributor to the cluster's expansion.

With this growth in the team an opportunity as a Cash Solutions Sales has arisen to include a new team member based in Frankfurt.


The Cash Solutions Sales Associate will be focused on working closely with the Relationship Managers (RM) to ensure timely revenue ramp-up and to identify new wallet growth opportunities within the existing client portfolio.


Key Outline


The key priority of this role is to grow global cash revenues for Citi Commercial Bank target clients headquartered in Germany and Austria.

Named the Best Global Bank for Cash Management in 2023 by Global Finance Magazine and with solutions spanning over 100 countries, you will be expected to engage in cash sales opportunities through global solution design, deal review process, maintaining oversight of implementation, and ensuring timely revenue ramp-up.

The Cash Solution Sales Associate will also mine data analytics to uncover opportunities and proactively present unsolicited bids for business.

This is an individual contributor role that is expected to deliver fast sustainable growth with the ability to manage multiple clients' and stakeholders' demands.


Core Responsibilities

  • Make Citi the go to international banking partner for our client segments.
  • Identify client challenges and provide holistic treasury solutions allowing clients to grow faster and become more efficient.
  • Proactively working with the RMs to drive business growth and build a pipeline to drive conversion of deals through participation in client pitches, RFPs and proactive bids.
  • Owning cash deals from origination to execution, regular tracking of deal pipeline, review of implementation progress and revenue realization.
  • Being a point of contact for cash matters to German and Austrian clients.
  • Foster productive working relationships with partner groups across regional/global product teams, and work with the CCB RM and Product teams to build solutions based on clients' needs.
  • Proactively working with RMs to drive business growth, owning cash deals from origination to execution.
  • Contribute to growing CCB Germany and Austria business through takingon special projects.
  • Increasing customer volumes/revenues in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Experience, skills and capabilities

  • Fluency in English and German (written and spoken)
  • Experience in the Banking / Fintech space
  • Clear understanding of the core Cash Management product suite including payments, collections, and liquidity
  • Experience in managing internal and external stakeholder relationships, ability to influence others to support client needs
  • Knowledge of regulations, market practices and bank operations
  • Interpersonal and communication skills for effective presentations, pitches and conversions
  • Ability to identify problems and solutions leveraging cash product propositions, business drivers, policies, customer needs and market trends
  • Ability to create longer term, positive trust and advisory based relationships will all the customers in the portfolio
  • Openmindedness to evaluate various alternative solutions to customer needs
