The
Centre for Reproductive Medicine and Andrology (CeRA), University of Münster is offering a position at the earliest opportunity, limited to 3 years.


Full-time with 100%

Remuneration according to TV-L E13


We are offering this position in the frame of a DFG project dealing with the Klinefelter Syndrome, a common chromosomal disorder.

We will use an established mouse model to address the function of somatic testicular cells experimentally. The DFG-funded project will be carried out at the Centre for Reproductive Medicine and Andrology (CeRA).

Our overall aim is to explore mechanisms that underlie the testicular pathology in this syndrome and to develop novel translational routes to counteract it and safeguard fertility in individuals with this genetic disorder.


Your tasks will include:


  • In vivo mouse experiments
  • In vitro (organ culture) of human tissue samples
  • Phenotyping analyses using state of the art techniques

Our expectations:


  • Applicant must hold at least a M.Sc. degree in Biology or a similar field of study
  • Experience in animal experimentation using mouse (rodent) models including an adequate certification (e.g. approval according or comparable to FELASA rules)
  • A good command of written and spoken English
  • Training in molecular biology techniques
  • Soft skills such as ability to work in a team, communication and organisational skills

Additionally desirable are:


  • Experience in histology and immunohistochemistry
  • Knowledge in endocrinology
  • Experience in transcriptomic analysis
  • Basic bioinformatics training
