  • Job Description
    Reported to the Execution Manager of the Coffee platform, you will have the following missions:

Execution Account Management:


  • Account Management responsibility of the full execution flow for a selection of assigned customers in Germany.
  • Direct relationship with assigned customers to ensure good fulfillment of contracts and service performance. This will include regular local travel to meet counterparts in customer teams.
  • Coordinate the Middle-Office execution process with the support of Back-Office in India, for the assigned customers and switch to handson approach when needed.
  • Liaise with Traders, Freight Desk and LDC coffee origins for required support to the execution of the trade.
  • Coordinate with treasury, banks, and trade finance to assist on documentary collection process.
  • Claim management and identification of potential problems in the execution of the assigned customers.
  • Become an expert of the business execution flows and processes, including the operational transactions in the central ERP.
  • Supervise the open position for assigned customers, including sample status, shipment instructions, booking confirmations, documentary presentations, collection and PnL impact.
  • Ensure compliance of the contract management policy and any other company and platform policies.
  • Provide extensive reporting support on execution status to Traders and Customers.
  • Ensure close coordination with local trucking companies to comply with delivery dates on DDP/DAP contracts as requested by customers, as well as performing invoicing by truck weight.
  • Close follow up of spot contracts (tender, invoicing, encashment follow up and releases).

Trade support role:


  • Maintain a claim tracking control, aiding the discussion progress and ensuring timely responses.
  • Gain an understanding of contract costings and hence the impacts of contract adjustments.
  • Develop good relationships with the logistics teams of the assigned buyers and related service providers.
  • Ensure Sales teams are aware of potential execution issues and solutions that can be offered to clients.
  • Assist in the development of a destination blending operation.
  • Interact with regional warehouses to gain understanding of space availability, flows, market insights.


  • Experience

  • Bachelor's in economics, Business, International Trade, Supply Chain or related fields
  • Preferably 2 to 5 years in international trade or graduate with trainee experience


  • Experience
managing physical flows into Germany and other Northern European countries

  • Expertise in international commerce, import and export process and customs regulations
  • Have a good understanding of the coffee (or similar) market as it pertains to the role
  • Ideally has established network in the German coffee industry
  • High proficiency skills in Microsoft Excel and database systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Good interpersonal skills to coordinate work with multiple stakeholders
  • Detail oriented with high attention to details
