The Posiiton:

Are you passionate about innovation, finding cutting-edge solutions and creating value where it matters, to help millions of patients suffering from mental health issues around the globe? Are you an experienced medical affairs professional who wants to work in an agile environment pushing the boundaries of innovation in mental health? We are looking for a Team Lead to support exciting programs and create value through innovation in the field of CNS drug development.


You will join the CNS Medical Affairs & Scientific Relations team, and you will focus on the Schizophrenia (SZ) area, currently developing first-in-class treatments targeting all 3 symptom domains of SZ.

Iclepertin and CT-155 are our CNS late-stage assets being developed for cognitive impairment associated with Schizophrenia (CIAS) and negative symptoms, respectively, both currently in Phase III.

GPR52, part of a recent partnership with Sosei Heptares, aims to address the 3 SZ symptom domains.


This role can either be filled in Germany or in the US.

Tasks & responsibilities:


  • In your new role, you will be responsible for the medical affairs strategy for a distinct subset of assets and/or indications.
  • In close collaboration with the (A)HoM and the crossfunctional groups, you provide medical and scientific strategic leadership for the assets within your area of responsibility.
  • You make sure that your team utilizes recent scientific developments and best practices in their clinical development and medical affairs approaches.
  • Additionally, you advise and develop your team to prepare relevant deliverables (e.g. medical affairs plan, scientific platform, publication strategies, etc.) to the highest standards and have them presented for approval of relevant internal committees.
  • As experienced team leader, you establish and maintain adequate standards for the personal development, communication, interface definition and processes of your team.
  • You support the (A)HoM with individually documented delegation of responsibilities including representation of TA Medicine in various internal and external committees.
  • Utilizing your experience, you lead initiatives that may impact multiple assets and are the key global contact for major OPUs regarding these assets.

Requirements:


  • Advanced degree in Medical or Life Sciences (ideally MD, PhD or comparable), with extensive clinical/scientific experience in psychiatry/neurosciences
  • Solid experience in the pharmaceutical industry in medical affairs
  • Successful track record in planning, conducting and publishing basic science and/or clinical research
  • Experience in working with external expert community, international societies and other relevant international stakeholders
  • Advanced management and leadership skills with several years' medical and strategic responsibility
  • Sound medical and scientific leadership to drive highpriority projects in collaboration with global matrix teams, regional counterparts and external partners
  • Excellent presentation, training and facilitation skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English paired with cross functional collaboration skills to work in virtual teams and influence in matrix environment
  • Commitment to personal growth and mentoring team members, facilitating a positive atmosphere for empowerment and learning
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, acting with grace and resilience under pressure
