You will be based in our either Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam or Madrid office. We would also entertain discussions about other locations.

In this newly created role within the ESG & Sustainability European team, our Energy & Carbon Lead will be responsible to drive revenue growth for the department, and the provision of support to our Business Development team toward securing new business.

This role will report directly to the Head of ESG & Sustainability services - Continental Europe.

Your key responsibilities

Advice our clients

  • Develop and maintain key client relationships and maximize opportunities for repeat business; training and development of existing local team members;
Delivering a variety of energy & carbon consultancy services to PanE Clients and provide advice to internal and external stakeholders


Services include:

  • Energy and Carbon audits (including analysis of Building Management System (BMS) strategies);
  • Transition risk analysis (using CRREM or any relevant Net Zero framework)
  • Support on the implementation of energy conservation measures effective data gathering, assurance and insight development.
  • Communicate/collaborate with the wider ESG & Sustainability group as well as the wider European / Global business;
Communicate industry knowledge back to the Energy Management team and wider ESG & Sustainability group;
Innovate processes, products and services to drive efficiencies and effectiveness, and provide support for other team's initiatives (ESG Datamart, Regulation Mapping tool, Carbon reporting data visualization, etc.)

Business coordination / development

  • Increase collaboration and resource sharing between local experts across the region;
Develop and implement new services and tools related to energy & carbon consultancy in a consistent way;
Partner with business development to engage key clients in meaningful decarbonisation initiatives;
Develop transformational partnerships and collaborations internally and externally to drive decarbonisation;
Enhance the exposure of the Energy Management team in the built environment and further business development efforts by attending and/or speaking at industry events, conferences and other external engagements;
Contribute to research and CBRE data strategy discussions;

What can you offer us?

  • You have a minimum of 10 years' experience working experience in the energy management industry
  • You have a Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering)
  • You should be able to demonstrate exposure and knowledge around building thermodynamics, M&E design, especially in the HVAC environment, BMS main operation principles; and building operation (FM/PM)
  • You have exceptional written and oral communication skills in English: articulate, assertive and confident;
  • You are able to engage and educate a diverse set of stakeholder groups including project teams and design/construction/real estate professionals
  • You are detailoriented: Strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn more and a desire to work in a dynamic, deadlinedriven team environment
  • Proficiency in Office 365 environment, especially Microsoft Excel including VBA environment, (Power BI and Tabloid would be a great add)
  • Exposure to IT product development ideally
