Exposure Assessment Expert (M/F/d)


In this position you will be accountable for the environmental exposure assessment of your assigned substances, and will take the lead on projects and topics related to environmental monitoring.


YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, contract and monitor groundwater/surface water/soil/air monitoring studies according to international guidelines and in compliance with all relevant regulations and the interpretation of the results
  • Develop our internal and external network and capabilities with regard to environmental monitoring, in line with regulatory requirements and company needs
  • Accountable for the regulatory deliverables of the Environmental Exposure Group, in particular the dossier parts related to environmental exposure with focus on environmental monitoring
  • Coordinate experimental and modelling activities for environmental exposure and risk assessment, manage the preparation of dossiers parts and responses to authority requests related to environmental exposure regarding environmental monitoring, and defend our approaches and the results and conclusions in the registration process
  • Identify critical environmental risks of our products and contribute to the development of innovative and flexible safe uses by developing technical and regulatory solutions for environmental exposure assessments to achieve, defend or extend registrations
  • Provide consultancy to Research, Regulatory Affairs and Marketing & Sales, to ensure the development and registrability of competitive and customeroriented products
  • Influence regulatory policy and guideline development in general and especially regarding environmental monitoring directly and via external scientific and regulatory networks, actively drive the development and implementation of new assessment approaches to improve quality and efficiency of our work, and to set up new options for product development

WHO YOU ARE

  • Wide experience as well as excellent understanding of environmental fate regulatory and testing requirements, analytical chemistry and environmental modelling of chemicals and in particular of plant protection products with focus on groundwater monitoring studies (including knowledge in subsurface hydrology and other issues such as site selection, context setting, connectivity, vulnerability analysis, well installation, groundwater sampling according to GLP)
  • Additional experience with other types of monitoring programs is an advantage
  • Ability to overcome complexity, and to develop and implement efficient and innovative problemsolving strategies using processoriented and mechanistic thinking, able and willing to combine experimental and modelling approaches in interdisciplinary projects and teams
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, experience in interaction with internal and external clients
  • Highly developed teamwork skills and proven project management skills to successfully deal with workload and study planning issues
  • Fluent in English, written and verbal
