Research Associate (M/F/x)***starting
as soon as possible._ _The position is limited to 3 years with the option of extension. The
position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (e.g. PhD / habilitation thesis).

Tasks:

- project work on problems in railroad operations, in particular, vehicle scheduling and
- personnel planning- development and implementation of mathematical optimization models and heuristic
- solution methods- communication of research results at international conferences
- preparation of scientific publications for peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements:

- very good scientific university degree (Master or comparable) in the fields of economics,
- industrial engineering, (business) informatics, (business) mathematics, or comparable- operations- knowledge in the development and implementation of mathematical optimization models
- and methods of Operations Research- knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g. Python/C/C++)
