Your role

Are you ready to work in the control of Operational Risk for an international credit institution under the supervision of the ECB? Are you an experienced Operational Risk controller looking for a new challenge? Do you have Non-Financial risk mindset and ready to build relationships and influence outcomes?
The key tasks for the position are including, but not limited to:
Support the development, and maintenance, of idiosyncratic Operational Risk scenarios analysis and assessment.
Perform secondlineofdefense activities in relation to Operational Risk
Ensure Operational Risk frameworks are operating effectively
Deliver independent risk assessment and reports that shed light on legal entity risk profile
Provide business management with controls, tools, training, frameworks, information and insights required to manage risk
Prepare and maintain Operational Risk data for various internal and external reporting (e.g. risk reporting, regulatory reports and questionnaires)
Review the content of the Operational Risk Loss Database in line with the internal guidance and additional regulatory requirements
Support UBS ESE ORC Team in the key Framework Components e.g. RCSA, Assessments, Controls effectiveness assessment review and challenge.
Prepare regulatory interaction regarding the activities above.

Your team

You will be working in UBS Europe SE Operational Risk Control (UBS ESE ORC), based in one of the UBS ESE branches (Paris, Krakow, Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Madrid, Milan), reporting to the Head of UBS ESE ORC and under the local oversight of the respective local Management, being part of our global C&ORC GWM team. We are a dynamic, driven, and multijurisdictional team of professionals with oversight responsibility for controlling Non-Financial Risks arising from any activities carried out by the UBS ESE legal entity ensuring these risks are managed to UBS' risk appetite.

Your expertise

A minimum of 4 years of experience in Operational Risk control roles within financial services
Understanding and experience in Operational Risk regulatory requirements related to Capital, Models, and/or Stress Testing
Strong strategic, judgement and integrative thinking skills, risk management & control knowledge, as well as good organizational, communication and influencing skills
Ability to take ownership of tasks and assignments endtoend and understand, perform data analysis, and prioritize according to management and business requirements
Be influential, possess high integrity, and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Prior working experience, or knowledge, in Wealth Management and its products and solutions as well as within an EMEA legal entity as part of a corporate structure (strongly preferred)
Be influential, possess high integrity, and able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Experience with financial service regulators and regulations (such as BaFin, ECB, FINMA) (preferred)
Fluent in English
