Magic Design is a young Berlin-based startup that helps startups and SMEs realise great design.

What makes it special is that marketing and design departments can add a top designer to their own team within days.

This allows them to bring more of their ideas to life.

Magic Design offers a flexible monthly subscription with no fixed contract. Customers such as Awork, Upvest, Secjur or Ostrom already use Magic Design as an extended workbench.


Your challenge


As a Head of Operations at Magic Design, you will be the right hand of the founding team You will independently run the daily operations and work and coordinate the relationship with clients and our design team with also a focus on implement strategic initiatives, drive key projects and build new departments.

You'll always step in where you're needed. At the same time, you'll be at the table for all the key strategy meetings and helping the company scaling


Your tasks

  • Continuously refine processes and systems for maximum efficiency and constant optimization
  • Provide guidance and support to the design team on a daily basis
  • Shaping the Magic Design product offering and lead the development of innovative features aligned with market needs.
  • Developing and implementing operational strategies to improve efficiency
  • Setting up and establishing new departments & processes
  • Preparation of decision papers, presentations, contracts and external documents
  • Supporting team building
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless coordination between departments.
  • Liaise with all stakeholders (customers, employees, partners)

You'll fit in great if you

  • Are experienced in setting up processes and not afraid to take on a challenge
  • Work independently and take responsibility
  • Have ideally a background in Design
  • Have the drive to create something great
  • Have no problem communicating in English and German
  • Bonus: have some experience in the startup environment
